Alzheimer's Disease (AD)
An estimated 6.7 million Americans age 65 and older are living with Alzheimer's in 20231.
With deaths more than doubled between 2000 and 2019, the total estimated Alzheimer's healthcare costs for treatment in 2020 is estimated at $305 billion, with an increase to more than $1 trillion as the population ages2.
Analysis shows that early diagnosis and disease management with pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic measures would lead to cost savings and earlier diagnosis.
