The Results

OM1 analyzed the data and prepared a detailed report of the study findings for the client, including:

Changes in outcome measures such as disease activity scores and PROs for patients at 6- and 12- months after treatment initiation, broken out by prior biologic exposure and treatment persistence
Patient demographics and clinical characteristics segmented by prior biologic exposure and whether the patient is receiving monotherapy or combination therapy.asdg
Summaries of the time to treatment discontinuation and the time to switching as well as reasons for discontinuation or switching

The client received confirmation that in real-world clinical practice, all disease activity measures and PROs improved over the baseline measure for patients at 6- and 12-months following initiation with its drug.

The client plans to publish the findings in a peer-reviewed journal to support Medical Affairs activities. With the evidence that the study provided, the client better understands the patient types that best respond to its treatment and the situations and/or patient characteristics that lead to treatment discontinuation and/or switching. These insights can be used to differentiate the product and tailor scientific messaging to prescribers.

For the client, the medical community, and the patients suffering from PsA, this study was but an initial analysis of the impact of treatment choices on real world outcomes.

Because of the value that this study provided, the client has subsequently engaged OM1 to complete a similar analysis in an adjacent disease state.
